Yes! I’m beginning to think Katia Rose can do no wrong. And also that second chance might be my favorite trope. Unlike lots of second chances, this isn’t dual timeline but it still works really well. The past is revealed quickly which was very satisfying. The book was deeper than I expected. I loved Meg’s family, and the treatment of Connie’s anxiety felt realistic, as well as Meg’s relationship with her small town and the way everything played out between Connie and her parents. The tension felt realistic and I really admired Connie’s character and liked Meg too. Good romance and chemistry. Definitely would recommend this one.

Short summary: When Meg’s internship falls through, she’s forced to return to her small hometown while she finds a job. She doesn’t expect to run into her old best friend or for all her old feelings to be so fresh…or reciprocated. Can Connie overcome her conservative parents and their crippling expectations or will it be high school all over again?
