I have to give Britney 5 stars for her resilience. No one in America should endure what she went through. I can’t even imagine how she felt having her kids taken away from her. She’s entitled to whatever. Send this woman a care package.
As a book, though I wanted more. It reads like a synopsis- especially the first 100pages, I wanted more emotion, more behind the scenes, and more clarity on the timeline. She comes across as young and naive, which she was, but also she was supporting her family financially, was named most influential woman of the year, yet seemed to have no concept of self worth..although I did like how confident she was in herself as a musician/performer (vs a role model), because yeah, you go girl. Her pattern of falling in and out of love is the same like 5 times in a row- that was tough to read. Mostly I just feel so sorry for her, and am grateful for her music.
Short summary: Britney takes us through an overview of her life and especially the conservatorship that dominated her life for 13 years.
