Well, Haley Cass has done it again. She is masterful at character development and interiority. I adored Regan - she’s such a vibrant, loveable character, and an exemplary friend. And Emma was such a good foil. While some of her comments were harsh in the beginning, her reactions made sense to me given her background, and I really loved the way she matured and opened up over the course of the book. My only critique is…editing…I think a lot could have been cut. I’m still giving it 5 stars though because their emotional lives are so lush and the chemistry and romance are excellent. I also liked that it was low angst (still angst but without the torture), and the body positivity and neurodivergent rep- thought all were handled really well. It was also really fun to see Charlotte and Sutton feature in this book - not just with a cameo but as fully fledged characters, too. …Hoping Brynn gets her own story next.

Short summary: Organized Emma has her life planned to a T, so she’s exasperated by her roommate Regan, who is chaos personified. How could she possibly spend the next 6 months living with her?! Except once she lets herself see Regan, she can’t look away.
