I basically loved everything about this book except for the bad guy, which was really well done but also felt cliche (even though it’s sadly realistic). Olive is so endearing and relatable. Awkward but totally loveable. Adam is grumpy but also sunshine- I wanted a little more from his storyline but love how he treats Olive. Their chemistry is palpable. The science is interesting. The friends are great…what more do you need? Queer rep: bisexual best friend (not tokenized!)
Short summary: when Olive kisses a stranger to convince her best friend she’s on a date, she never expects that person to be brooding, antagonistic, unapproachable Dr. Carlsen. And now she’s stuck with him as her fake boyfriend, except the more time they spend together, the less of an ass he seems and the only thing worse than fake dating Adam would be actually liking him.
