This book is so good! Don’t judge it by its cover. The intrigue the deceit, the chemistry, the badass female warriors. I couldn’t put it down. There was plenty that I saw coming but it didn’t matter because the rest of the plot kept me so engaged. I loved feeling immersed in the scenery and the characters. It ends on a real cliffhanger so I’ll be rolling right into book 2.

Short summary: Lara has been trained all her life in isolation to be her kingdom’s greatest spy and infiltrate the seemingly impenetrable bridge kingdom. But when she arrives, all is not as evil as promised, and the more she learns from her handsome, considerate new husband, the more she questions her mission.
