An employee/employer (sort of), age gap, twin swap. The book is mostly about life in academia, and the unique challenges that professors and presidents of universities face. It’s clear that Quinn Ivins did a lot of research, and that was interesting to read. The love story itself is a slow burn, because the protagonist has to hide her identity while she’s in her sister‘s place. Some of the dialogue felt a little “telly,” and while I understand the source of tension ultimately I felt it was a little overblown. On the whole though, I breezed right through this book and enjoyed it.

Short summary: when her twin sister wants to pursue a boy she met online but lacks vacation time, Caitlyn steps in to her job for a week. At first, she’s nervous, but the job is in academia which is Caitlyn‘s wheelhouse. Soon she’s taken the job of executive assistant to the next level, and made a deeper connection with her boss. But what will happen when Chloe returns? Will the same job be waiting? Will Caitlyn be able to hide her feelings? And what will her boss say if she finds out?
