I enjoyed the premise of this book, but the execution was a slowwwww burn. The characters were handled well. They were well developed and different. Meryl Wilsner handles the employee/boss relationship well, and also sexual harassment in the workplace. I wanted to like it more than I did, I think in the end the romance was just too slow and then short-lived because it happened so late in the book.

Short Summary: Jo is an icy, powerful showrunner, Emma is her intuitive assistant. The two are photographed together laughing in a way that sets off romantic rumors. The two work to quell the gossip, while wondering if there’s anything to it.
