If you’re liberal and want to read a measured view of Republican sentiments, this is a great place to start. This book was hard to rate because the dialogue is insightful and Jen Jensen’s writing is lovely, but I didn’t enjoy the romance aspect. One MC was great but the other not so much. I really liked the minor characters and would love to read a book about them! In all, it was smart, interesting and a short read, and also handled grief really well.

Short Summary: Shelley is an attorney and Republican political spokesperson from a prominent Evangelical family. Rand is a therapist and transgender activist. Can they overcome the political divide and be what the other needs?
