This was a tough book for me to read because it hit close to home. Rosalind is atrocious, and I wish she hadn’t had her own POV. On the plus side, Andi and Sarah’s relationship developed really organically. And Noa was delightful. Andi’s backstory was truly tragic. The only healthy example of family you’ll find here is between Cait and Sarah and then Sarah and Andi- and those relationships are handled with care and great examples of parenting. In the end though, the subject matter was too painful for me. If you have kids or a strained familial relationship, I’d skip this one.
Short summary: Sarah lives for her daughter, Noa. So when her in-laws attempt a custody battle, she’ll do anything it takes to save her family- even embark on a fake relationship with Andi, the woman who has sworn off kids.
