I loved this book! Clare Ashton's writing is so smooth, it was easy to fall right into this one and really made me want to visit Oxford. This is a slowwwwww burn, friends to lovers, second chance romance with tons of edge-of-your-seat chemistry. I think the author handled Millie’s awakening well though it bordered on safe-after-trauma, which irked me a bit. But I loved both characters and thought they were well developed. And truly, this is a beautiful story of friendship. I hope Olivia is getting her own book next, but either way I’ll be reading whatever comes along in the series.

Short summary: Best friends in college, Charlotte and Millie have been apart due to a falling out for a number of years before finding themselves back in Oxford and in each other’s lives. Charlotte is gay and Millie is straight - they love each other dearly but not in that way - will it stay that way? Or is that affection they feel more than just friendly?
