A double second chance semi-love triangle romance. I liked it- 3.5 rounded up. The concept was interesting and I liked that Maggie was a musician- it was fun to read her lyrics and see how she thought about the world. The chemistry with both men was great and really had me questioning who she’d pick. A few threads felt like they didn’t quite fit. There’s a whole metoo element that the author handles well, but didn’t feel totally necessary. My favorite part by far was a scene with a mini pony that made me laugh so hard I was in tears. Also I loved Maggie’s best friend- a fully realized side character (and a lesbian!)- that was refreshing to see.
Short summary: Maggie makes a wedding pact with two different men. Now she’s turning 35, is very single and struggling to decide which person would be the best fit for her and what to do about loving them both- and that’s assuming either man wants her too.
