I enjoyed the setting and characters in this story. They had sizzling chemistry, romance, and I understood their motivations. There were a few too many coincidences though, and Act 3 was stressful! I understood the reasons but it had me on edge for longer than I expected, and ultimately I wanted a longer epilogue. The characters were also a bit hung up on their pasts but I thought Skye’s approach in the end and in general was refreshing. Also, I want to know- is English wine that good or is it wishful fiction thinking? I’m intrigued! Overall I was invested in the story and enjoyed the book. There were some great lines too. One of my favorites was: “I’ve put my line in the sand.” “But you know the thing about sand? Every day, the tide comes in and washes the line away. You can draw it again, or choose not to.”
Short summary: a chance encounter and a sizzling kiss leave Skye hoping she’ll see Gemma again. But how can she when she doesn’t know her last name and they live a long train-ride apart? But fate has other plans, and not only are they reunited but Gemma offers Skye a job she can’t refuse, but with it comes a no kissing rule. Can they stick with it or will Skye return to her past life?
