Raunchy and brauny. I feel like I’ve gone out to sea and back reading this one! I haven’t watched Deadliest Catch, but this reads like a mash-up of that and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I loved it. Could have done with a little less “me Tarzan, you Jane” stereotypical hetero & possessive energy, but apart from that, I was in. I loved both characters and their journeys - especially Piper’s and her giant heart. I really enjoyed Tessa Bailey’s writing, and can’t wait to crack open Book 2. No queer rep.
Short summary: Piper has it all. Or at least she thinks she does. Until her boyfriend dumps her and she lands in jail and is exiled by her stepfather to a tiny fishing town and questions everything she’s ever known to be true…
