I was really looking forward to Iris’ story and Ashley Herring Blake did not disappoint! This was my favorite in the series. Both characters are beautifully flawed with wonderful souls. The climax bothered me but I liked the way it all played out, and it was fun to see the other Bright Falls’ characters woven in so much. I also really enjoyed how it was kind of meta with Iris writing a romance while experiencing her own-a refreshing take on fake dating.

Short summary: Iris loves sex, but romance? Forget it. Which is a problem because she’s a romance author. Enter Stevie’s idea to fake date- Iris gives Stevie what she needs to face newly coupled ex and Stevie gives Iris ideas for her book. It’s the perfect plan until the lines begin to blur.
