I’m a big fan of Spangler’s books. Last month I read two on their backlist and particularly enjoyed Edge of Glory. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. I suspect a lot of people will like it and I get why- the characters are lovely and mature, and there’s clear attraction. For me, though, all the safe space/therapy speak (while well-written and considered) slowed everything down for me and diffused the chemistry. It was all a bit too precious for me. I enjoyed the side characters though (especially Robin!) and will continue to enjoy Spangler’s books.

Short summary: When Tegan decides to uncharacteristically let loose the night before her new job starts, the last thing she expects is for her one-night stand to be her new boss. With everything on the line, can she make it work…and will the team let her stay?
