I loved Chemistry and Never Say Never, but this one didn’t do it for me. It felt too obvious and overdone. That said I did like both characters and the chemistry was there, but it didn’t move me like her other books. And, Lucy’s arc wasn’t realistic to me- she’s supposed to be totally heartbroken yet falls instantly in love basically…Elena’s very lovable, but... It’s a cute summer fling-to-forever story, perfect for the beach.
Short Summary: Heartbreak sends Lucy on an unplanned sabbatical to Tenerife with no end date in sight. What is in her sight is sexy lifeguard Elena, former pro-swimmer, who’s allergic to commitment, and whose family basically runs the hotel until scandal gets her father fired. Enter lawyer Lucy who is happy to help the family right the scales of justice, and might just get the girl too.
