This book was full of whip-smart dialogue, I loved it. The MCs are both strong, independent women, but different enough to make it interesting. I found the description a bit misleading since it made me think this would be about one long night in Vegas – it’s not, it’s way better! The only thing that was a bit off for me was that one of the storylines reminded me too much of Jae’s Under a Falling Star. Also, there’s a minor character story arc that felt way too convenient.

Short Summary: Amelia is an honest, hardworking, brilliant VP at her family’s hotel conglomerate. Kai is a deal-closing shark who works for a rival hotel chain. They both want to acquire the same ritzy hotel – who will win, and in the end, what does winning mean?
