This book showed a different side of submission that was interesting to see after book 1. It also focused much more on the MC’s life outside her relationship. While I enjoyed the story and the build up of the relationship, I had a tough time liking April. On the one hand, she’s so passionate about the library, it’s impossible not to like her- go books! But on the other, she’s so quick to react in anger that things escalate way more and faster than they should. To a point that felt very immature (and even her friends are telling her to cool it!), and Vicki’s response to her felt out of character. I believed the chemistry though (but still prefer Mel/Vanessa) and it was fun to see another side of BDSM.

Short summary: April is director of the local library and loves everything about it. When a large property developer buys the building and gives them 3 months to vacate, April is beside herself. Even more so when she discovers the alluring woman with the closet full of toys, is on the other side of the deal. Vicki is known for her womanizing ways and April can’t seem to resist her. But can April trust her when it comes to her beloved library or herself?
