This was almost a DNF for me. The story was fine, characters were fine, and if you’ve read Anna Stone you know she brings the heat, but the chemistry was lacking for me. The passage of time was hard to keep track of, so the emotions didn’t always line up for me. I wanted to know more about why Amber was a domme, and I wanted to see their relationship develop a bit more outside work or the bedroom. Overall it was too easy and cheesy for me.

Short summary: Carmen starts a new role as heiress Amber’s bodyguard, and quickly learns 2 things- the threat against her is more than a typical wealthy person, and the looks Amber’s giving her have more heat than she ever expected.
