Spangler’s sports novels are immersive. This book made me want to ski, snowboard, and hit the gym. On top of that, both women were endearing and vulnerable in their own ways while being a grumpy (ice queen)/sunshine pair that balanced each other perfectly. I really enjoyed the characters and their journey to find love…and compete for gold.

Short summary: More than anything in the world, Elise wants to win the gold in skiing, until she meets Corey, a ragtag snowboarder who’s already won it and lives by a different code, one Elise can’t understand but finds herself wanting to.
