This was a fun romcom but I have to say I was disappointed on the whole. The dialogue initially made me laugh but it fell off after the first few chapters. It was angsty without enough character-building to support it. I really wanted to love this one, but felt it relied too much on the sex scenes.

Possible Spoiler Alert: We’re told the MC’s have ancient history together but outside of sex, we don’t learn anything about that shared history. And, despite being supposedly so close, they have a lot of issues communicating. Other plot holes- Margot spends a lot of time insisting that romantic love is as valuable as platonic love, but then NEEDS to be with Olivia like she needs air; Margot is supposedly pansexual but that’s not explored at all and she comes across as fully lesbian; there’s an unhealthy undercurrent of possessiveness that’s not really addressed; Olivia’s job didn’t add any tension to the story but was set up to.

Short Summary: Margot’s not looking for love. She has great friendships and her perfect career, and that’s enough. Until Olivia reenters her life. It’s been 11 years, but when Olivia appears as Margot’s best friend’s wedding planner, everything rekindles.
