After reading a rave review, I couldn’t pass this one up- celebrity, ice queen, age gap- some classic tropes. It drew me in right away and I fell for both characters easily. There were some deeper themes that I also enjoyed. In the end though, the last 20% felt like a different book- it was still good and satisfying, but way sappier than the beginning and more cliche. Also, the employee/employer relationship isn’t really discussed, which felt awkward especially as the story developed. If not for that, this would have been 5 stars (I’m rating it 4), as it is very entertaining, well written, and great chemistry between the mains.

Short summary: A-list celeb Beatrice has broken her leg and needs a trusty PA to get her through recovery..if anyone can live up to her exacting standards. Sydney is the best PA in the business and she needs a vacation, unfortunately she also needs money to repair her beloved camper van. When she meets Bea there’s an instant attraction and then disdain when she realizes how rude her employer is. But Bea can’t eschew Sydney’s warmth or charms for long and soon she finds herself longing to put the “personal” in Personal Assistant…
