I enjoyed following Astrid’s journey and Jordan’s, but more so Astrid because I think she overcomes more. I was rooting for them and thought their relationship unfolded naturally with good chemistry. It was novel the way the author listed everyone’s race, but I’m not sure it lands, and there were some other details that got repetitive and some that were odd. Also, I felt the climax was forced and the end a bit cliche. But ultimately, it was a pleasant love story that I liked it better than Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. I wasn’t totally sure how we were being set up for Iris’ story but I’m hoping it’s coming next since her character is so entertaining.

Short summary: Astrid is perfect. Jordan is a fuck up. What could possibly go wrong when the two have to film a home makeover show together as designer and carpenter?
