This book was so satisfying. I love the Hollywood trope, and while one straight/the other in the closet made me nervous for a high level of angst, Harper Bliss took it in a novel, beautifully refreshing direction. I read critique that the MC’s POV’s are too similar but since I listened to it, I didn’t have that issue. Abby Craden does an impeccable job narrating and bringing this book to life. I felt the story unfolded naturally and loved hearing both character’s perspectives of what was happening. The only issue I had was it felt like an ethical gray area when Ida kissed Faye more than she should have under the guise of acting. Apart from that though, the chemistry was believable as were each of their motivations. The first steamy scene was 🔥🔥🔥 - really well written, and I thought very authentic for the moment and both characters- one of the best I’ve read. Also, I love, love, loved the epilogue. So charming.

Short summary: Ida and Faye are A-list Hollywood actresses who each has her own reason for agreeing to co-star in a lesbian rom-com. But can they keep the chemistry confined on-screen?
